Can you control the order of the GMB Questions & Answers?

Unfortunately, there is no ability to directly control the order of the Questions & Answers presented on each locations Google Knowledge Panel, either through LocalClarity of directly in the GMB User Portals. Public voting, however, has a very strong impact.

Google decides the order of the questions, with the apparent algorithm being that questions with more user likes are listed towards the top. If the rankings are relatively equal, the newest question is first.

The answer selection order is also based user approval. The more "thumbs up" received, the higher the ranking. In terms of answers with equal affirmation, it seems that Google generally prefers the oldest (first) answer. Remember, the public can provide answers to these questions, so make sure you respond first as the business.
