How can I update my holiday hours in bulk?

How can I update my holiday hours in bulk?

In LocalClarity there are multiple ways to update Holiday or Special hours within the platform. This article will walk through the two most common methods, the Locations module and the Manage Locations module.

Locations Module
*This method will overwrite any existing Holiday Hours. Use the second method to append changes.
The first step here is selecting the locations you want to change hours for. The filtering capabilities of the Locations module makes this a more fluid process. For example, let's say you want to change holiday hours for your pizza stores and you have created a Group for those stores titled 'Pizza". You can filter the Locations module by your Group "Pizza". Now Select All by clicking the checkbox on the top left:

Locations-Select All
Once selected, click the Edit button that will appear in blue. There will be a dropdown titled Select Property, find Holiday/Special Hours and select that option. In the example below, you are setting December 24th hours to be open from 9AM until 3PM and December 25th to be closed all day. The 'Add New Date' option let's you push multiple days at once. Don't worry if you have multiple holidays to account for, you can add 50+ days at once. Once your hours are set, select Apply to push the changes.

Manage Locations Module

The second option is using the Manage Locations module. This builds a live Google Sheet within the platform where you can make changes in bulk and then drag them through the applicable stores. Head to Manage Locations and then select the Details tab. It may take a couple of minutes for the spreadsheet to load, depending on the number of locations you have. Head over to column AQ 'SpecialHours'. Find a location you wish to make the changes for and type in the hours using the following format (using same example as above for December 24th and 25th):

2023-12-24-2023-12-24 09:00-15:00, 2023-12-25-2023-12-25

Once again, this means the location(s) will be open on December 24th from 9AM to 3PM and closed on December 25th. You can either copy the cell and paste into the applicable locations, or drag the cell down over the applicable location rows. Once finished, make sure to select the Update button in the top right.

Manage Locations-Details-Update

These are the two most common methods to update Special/Holiday hours within the platform. This can also be done for an individual location or via 'Bulk Upload GBP Detail' as well.
