Image upload requirements

Image upload requirements

Depending on the type of photo you're attempting to upload to your GBP listing there are different size requirements based on each. For instance, profile photos and logos have a minimum size requirement of 250 x 250px, while cover photos have a minimum size requirement of 480 x 270px.

Despite the difference in minimum size requirements, your photos will look best on Google if they meet the following:

  • Minimum resolution:  720 x 720px.

  • Format: JPG or PNG.

  • Size: Between 10 KB and 5 MB.

  • Quality: The photo should be in focus and well lit, and have no significant alterations or excessive use of filters. In other words, the image should represent reality.
