Managing Google Questions and Answers

Managing Google Questions and Answers

Questions and Answers within your Google Business Profiles is a great way to engage with potential customers on questions that they have about your business. For business owners, this can be a powerful tool to control the level of knowledge the public has on your location.

Think about an urgent care clinic. People typically don't have as lengthy of a search cycle when looking for urgent medical care. They likely need to know facts about your location quickly. Q&A is a great place to have questions such as "Which Insurance providers do you take?" "Do you take (common) Insurance?" or "Do you do CT scans?" Remember, the public can answer these questions first, so getting ahead of the public is imperative.

Here is how to do so in LocalClarity.

Google Q&A

Google Q&A-Reply
Similar to the ReviewsInbox, the Google Q&A inbox in LocalClarity has all questions in chronological order. Reply simply by selecting 'Reply' and providing an answer. Even if the public has already responded to a question, you can still reply to provide clarification or authority to the response.

So now you know how to respond to questions asked by the public, but what if you want to do the asking? Asking and answering your own questions provides a guide that customers can use when looking at your location in Google. This can be done in a single location or in bulk.

Single Location Question

To ask a question for a single location, head to the Locations tab. Select a location and then select the chat bubble with a question mark inside (ask a question).
Locations-Ask a Question
Type the question you want to ask, and hit Post. Your question is now live and can be answered in the Google Q&A inbox. That's simple enough for a single question and a single location, but what if you manage many locations and want to ask many questions? That's where the bulk upload comes in handy.

Bulk Upload Q&A

Also in the Locations tab is the ability to Bulk Upload a list of Questions and Answers. Head to the Locations tab, Bulk Actions, Bulk Upload Q&A.
Locations-Bulk Upload Q&A
This is where you upload the bulk file. To get the template, select Click here, which is highlighted in blue. Once the template downloads, you can open the .csv and begin adding your questions. The download will download your locations, sorted in columns by Location ID, Location Name, Friendly Name (optional), Store Code, Internal ID (optional), Location URL (optional), Question, and Answer. You can drag and drop the same question and answer to all of your locations, select locations, or however you want to divide them up! Copy the location details to a new row if you would like to ask multiple questions at the same location. Here is an example of how a sheet might look:

Bulk Upload Q&A Example
Once completed, head back to Bulk Upload Q&A and Choose File. Select your .csv and upload! To check the results of the upload, and to see if any failed to upload, select Q&A History, which is also in the Bulk Actions dropdown. This will tell you X number of locations updated and X number of locations failed. Clicking on the link will show you which ones failed and which ones uploaded.

Questions and Answers are a great way to add more context and clarity to your listings on Google. It's also important to answer questions before the public does. LocalClarity offers multiple ways to make this an easier task.
