What are Friendly Names and Location Names?

Location Names are how you can filter and view individual locations within the application. They can also be changed to allow a "Friendly Name" structure to exist; For chains where the official Google name of every location is identical (e.g. "Starbucks"), having the friendly name concept is of critical importance.

Note: These naming structures are entirely internal - We push none of this information to Google.

Single Location Assignment:

  1. In Manage Locations, open the detail pane for the location that you will add a friendly name to.

  2. Going to the Location Details tab, you can then add the Friendly Name and save.

Bulk Location Assignment:

  1. In the Manage Location in Bulk dashboard, go to the brown Platform tab and let the sheet load.

  2. Once loaded, using the Friendly Name column, you can assign each of your locations their own alias.

  3. Once finished, use the red Update button in the right-hand corner to save your changes.
