Where is the Review I just Left for My New Listing?

When creating a new listing, you may want to get reviews for your location as fast as possible. So you go in and leave a review to see if that will help jumpstart your new listings. However, when you go into LocalClarity, you don't see anything change. You still don't see any stars and  no indicator that a review has even been made to your listing.

But after checking the knowledge panel you see your review. So where is the disconnect coming from? Why don't I see that review I made in LocalClarity?

The short answer is, that you will always see the reviews you wrote for locations, even if they are not published. The reason why a review that you left may not show up for the public is that Google works diligently to make sure that reviews are done in an organic way.  All reviews before being seen in a listings Knowledge Panel are reviewed internally by Google.

Google's official statement: "Reviews are automatically processed to detect inappropriate content like fake reviews and spam. We may take down reviews that are flagged in order to comply with Google policies or legal obligations."

If you are from a company, and you are using a company email address that is the same as the one that created the listing, Google is able to recognize that. That is what they view as inorganic, and they make sure that reviews like that are not shown to the greater public. There are ways to drive engagement organically you can find our recommended best practices Here
