Within LocalClarity there can be many connections to Google and sometimes the API connection that allows us to communicate stops. This is not an unexpected phenomenon that randomly happens. Expired API tokens happen when a user who made the initial connection to LocalClarity updates their user permissions to Google or no longer has ownership over the listings. How do you Identify when this connection has been lost and how do you make sure that these reviews get into your inbox?
First thing is to verify the locations that are being impacted by this drop in coverage by Google. Is this only a few locations being impacted or are all of your listings not pulling in new reviews? You can verify by going into the Reviews Inbox and finding one of your most recent reviews. By clicking on the GBP icon of the review, it will automatically take you to review section of the listing.
From there, click on Newest. Swap between this tab and your ReviewsInbox to see if any of the names of the reviewers you see in Google.
In the example above, you can see that the review for Hendry President is visible in both the Knowledge Panel and in LocalClarity's ReviewInbox™. But a recent review by Melvin is not showing yet. This would require you to manually sync the individual location to get the most recent review in the ReviewInbox™.
To manually sync a single location, start in the Manage Locations Section. Search for the location you are trying to pull the reviews in for through the search bar.
You will then want to click on the listing so that you can see the locations details and the set of icons appear to the right of the locations name. Click on the sync icon.
Once you confirm yes, wait a few minutes for the sync to reestablish a connection with Google and LocalClarity. This will pull in all updates made to the location, including new reviews.
The next step is to check your ReviewsInbox to see if the missing review is now being pulled into the LocalClarity system.
If the reviews are still not populating in the Reviews Inbox, this will require you to reestablish a connection with LocalClarity.
Luckily, reestablishing the connection to your Google Business Profile is as simple as the initial set up. You can find those steps
Here.
Once reconnected, all of that missing data will begin to populate within minutes of reestablishing an API connection.
